That word starts with a J and is in this post. Hope to see ya'll there.Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. PLFXpert 0 #33 June 23, 2008 Quote I guess I'm still a bit bummed that I wasted all the time watching such a stupid movie. More importantly, time is money and if I don't like a movie within 20 minutes I don't finish it. So for my Netflix friends, anything rated a "one star" vs. anything else was never finished. If it's rated "not interested" it's only because I didn't have time to watch it and sent it back because something way more interesting was about to be released. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
MikeJD 0 #34 June 25, 2008 Quote SPOILER ALERT!!! The trees are angry at us and making us commit suicide. Huh?! It was a big show on how many ways can people commit suicide. At the end it never really tells you why it is that people are doing this, other than their speculation that the trees didn't like them anymore. In the middle of the show they were saying it was because of big groups making the plants defensive. But then single people were dying. I think they were just using it as an excuse for their main characters not to die. It was dumb. Fixed it for you. Don't know why people seem to have such a downer on M Night. I thought The 6th Sense and Unbreakable were great movies. True, maybe he should have stopped there...
MikeJD 0 #35 June 25, 2008 Quote Quote You cant afford to pay $11 for a ticket but can afford to pay $19 when it comes out on dvd? Why pay anything at all. Um, because somebody has to, or movies (even bad ones) wouldn't get made at all.
Bolas 5 #36 September 8, 2008 Quote I took my daughter movie hopping last Friday. The Happening was one of the 5 movies we saw. I just tried movie hopping today. I found a cheap theater for $2.50 a ticket and saw: Hancock - Cool and just fun Wanted - Action and gun porn plus has Angelina Jolie HellBoy 2 - Not a bad sequel I may try that again at some point. klingeme 0 #37 September 9, 2008 I just rewatched this movie over the weekend, and it 100% confirms the fact the I think this movie SUCKED. I like all the other M Night movies, but this one BLEW.

birdlike 0 #39 September 10, 2008 Quote Who's seen it? Is it any good? Or another one of Shamalamadingdong's boring turkeys? It had promise as a preview -- seemed really creepy -- and then was a TOTAL LETDOWN in the theater. The underlying premise turned out to be totally fucking stupid.Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire
birdlike 0 #40 September 10, 2008 Quote I know what the "twist" is (and it's stupid) but I want to see the movie because it looks decent. If you must watch a Marky Wahlberg movie, make it Shooter. Seriously, he's a good actor, but in The Happening, he seems to have simply forgotten how to act temporarily. birdlike 0 #42 September 10, 2008 Quote Quote I refer you to my previous post. Yes, I guess I'm a bit wordy and you stated it just as well. I guess I'm still a bit bummed that I wasted all the time watching such a stupid movie. At least I got my money's worth with the next 4 movies I saw that day. Although The Strangers was just about equally as stupid. Are you saying that you sneaked into more movies?! Thief!! No, seriously, it's the goddamned theaters that are the thieves. I'm old enough to remember when an adult ticket was $4.50 and a child was $2.50, and there were $.99 theaters all over the place. Now that's over and done with. Hey, was The Strangers the one about some weird family that invades the home of some other family? Wearing weird masks and shit? What was the plot of that one?Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire

birdlike 0 #44 September 10, 2008 QuoteI loved "the Village" (because it could happen) and the "I see dead people" movie (I forget what it was called) but hated Signs and this one. When I walked out of "Signs," I was thinking that it had been relatively entertaining, but FUCKING STUPID. Let me get this straight: - Aliens come from interstellar space - They have the technology to pilot starships to get here - They need, for some reason, to guide each other using CROP CIRCLES (no GPS, I guess) - The decided to invade a planet that is FILLED with WATER, even though water is LETHAL to them?! Even if they could stay away from bodies of water (unlikely) what the fuck were they going to do about RAIN/HUMIDITY?! They came from some across-space distance, but didn't know that much about the planet they were journeying to?! Fuckin' stupid. And the same goes for anyone who would write such a plot but not think of this being a plot-killer.Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire

vskydiver 0 #46 September 10, 2008 Quote Wow..5 movies? How do you do the logistics? Do u hop from movie to movie or do you watch the entire show? No, you watch the entire show. You just line them up time wise before you go. Figure out how long the show will be and when the next one starts. Figure in 15 minutes of previews. Make your list so you don't forget what show lines up next. Refill your popcorn bucket and bottle of water between shows and your set!
