airdvr 197 #27 September 28, 2008 My personal favorite... Will Varner(Orson Welles): I got influence. I'll dog you, boy, wherever you go. I'll break you. Ben (Paul Newman): No, you won't. You'll miss me.Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

'Slapshot' was entertaining no doubt~ ...but 'The Color of Money'... putting he and Cruise together, was one of the finer 'acted' movies ever made. 'The Hustler' tie-in was pure genius. The Hustler and The Color Of Money were both novels by Walter Tevis. The movie version of The Hustler closely resembled the novel. The movie version of The Color Of Money strayed pretty far from the novel. The real genius was waiting until Newman was old enough to play an older Eddie Felson before releasing the sequel. TCOM was okay, and did great things for pool rooms across the country, but it also elevated 9-ball's popularity to the point that most bangers don't even know the rules of more technical games like 14.1 and one pocket. There's way too much luck in 9-ball until you start playing long races (race to nine, race to eleven, etc.).Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
