I'm an EMT-B in Maryland - so I know the "on duty with nothing to do" feeling. I'm thinking of going for my paramedic in the Spring, but it would require a career change, and I don't know if I'm stable enough for that at the moment...it would also mean a pay cut, so again, not sure if I want to go that route.
