RALFFERS 0 #27 January 19, 2009 The most expensive store I've ever known is Abt Electronics. Although they have a wide selection of quality products. Anyone know a comparable store that's cheaper? Online purchasing gives better prices, better selection, and avoids wasting the time (and gasoline) driving around. The only brick & mortar stores I visit are the grocery, the hardware, and shoe stores. PhreeZone already gave you the link for the best place to buy cables, (Monoprice). NewEgg is a good place for computer components, and Crutchfield is good for home entertainment components."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. normiss 615 #29 January 19, 2009 I like Crutchfield for car audio - the adapters and mounting compnents they include for free REALLY make it worth using them IMO. Not so much on home audio/video...they don't carry the brands I'm after. I tend to like a step or two over consumer grade gear for home theater. I've been given the ability to buy direct from Yamaha after a huge fiasco with Sound Advice a few years ago. I've always loved their receivers, so they get my money for that component. I'd love to be able to afford to be an audiophile.
