Need to buy my own rubber bands. Also, I need an easy "broken rubberband remover" technique.

The closing pin is too blunt to even fit under the very tight rubber band

Actually it works quite well once you get used to it.

I try the closing pin and if that does not work the pull up cord method.

I'm sure as hell not going to let those little bastards snap me on my lips like that. I might end up with swollen lips like Angeline Jolie...

How big are your broken stows ....???
:|

Just hunker down and get 'yer teeth in there and rip 'em out.....
sure you may find you get one 'corner' of the packing shed to yourself on a frequent basis........but thats good 'isnt it ??;)

I have been hearing 700-800 feet is quite normal for a non-hard Sabre 1 opening. Is this correct?

I'm jumping a Sabre 1 170 at 1.12:1. I get a 800 foot snivel on average. Never been slammed and get decent on heading openings. My Sabre is well behaved. I use the larger bands double stowed now, but thinking of going to the smaller bands.
