I have not checked in a while, but last i looked ATI was miles ahead in the tv tuner area. This i believe is the latest and greatest.

Might give a scan on the ATI website and see if they have something better. Also something to look at is if your comp has AGP or PCIE. That will make a big difference.

Make sure which ever one you get, that it has a ClearQAM tuner in it to work for the cable. You may still need the cable box to get premium content as that is probably scrambled.

I have a Pinnicle PCTV ultimate stick(USB) that I use with my laptop. I am very happy with it.

getting it by digital coax, i think, i just moved into this place and my roommate isnt to tech savvy to figure it out so i am going to do it. he has a DVR hooked up to the living room tv. i am trying to avoid having to get the dvr b/c i dont want to pay $30 for them to come in and connect a wire and then charge me $8 a month to rent the thing.

Here is a link to a video about the tuner I have and enjoy a lot. I also have an older analog unit that works but not as well (different brands.) Again, there will be a lot of channels that you will only be able to access with a box from the cable company. The cable company scrambles the signal so they can charge for extra boxes.

Internal PC cards are so 20th century.:P

Get one of these and any computer on your internal network can use it.
