Who is smarter in your relationship?

Recommended Posts

I am.

I understand the difference between "major" stuff and "minor" stuff. I place a small amount of importance on
minor stuff and a large amount of effort into major stuff.

Arguments will continue until resolved.
People will fight about inconsequential things until they
have destroyed any positive feelings.

I avoid fighting about the minor stuff by admitting guilt
immediately and apologizing, regardless of my guilt.
Otherwise, a major amount of effort will be put into "resolving" a minor problem.

I doubt it. It's not like I'm wet behind the ears. ;)

Nor am I. I could give many examples supporting my assertion, professional and social.

Sorry I wasn't implying you were. I just think it's a matter of perspective. It's what you make of it kind of thing.

And to finally answer the OP's question...it's me.

That hasn't been my experience.

Here is an article about a small study that suggests a correlation between the ability to lie and popularity (social popularity being reasonably, albeit not absolutely, synonymous with being a people person). I was looking for a more recent study that I read/heard about within the past couple of months but was unable to locate that one.

Edit to add: Sorry about the double reply.

Since I'm single I guess I'm the smart one, too. ;)

But....... the last "serious" boyfriend I had, well, I was the smarter one and it drove me nuts. I felt superior to him because he couldn't even keep up with me watching Jeopardy. My ex-husband is a freaking genius and it was nice having someone to have an intelligent conversation with, not just about how good of a workout he had at the gym and did his abs look cut. :S

And I was still more street smart... and he's a freaking cop. :o

Always be kinder than you feel.
