Misternatural 0 #3 December 16, 2009 yeah, don't take any road trips near the Haitian border I was in that country in '87 and the burning tire barricades I could see from the plane told me it was no vacationland. shah269 0 #5 December 17, 2009 They have good food, good drinks and the girls are kind of grabby. As for what there is to do? In that town...not much really? There is a lame casino you could go to and the water front there isn't much.Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. The only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and fools!
mwabd1 0 #6 December 17, 2009 Where else can you go and rent a Cabana and a hooker by the hour??? Just remember they don't have a cure for most of that stuff!.......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!
jdthomas 0 #7 December 17, 2009 I say stay in your resort area and not step off the curb or you will be fending off the street merchants trying to sell you junk. It's been awhile since I was there last, but like another poster said the buring tires are cool in the movies but not in real life!!! we drove right into a riot one day and lucky for us our cabbie was quick thinker and got us out of there w/o too much trouble! I spent two weeks in the country staying at a house and not a resort, the house and host where great, but I wish we had the secuirty of the resort. Side note is that Amber is cheap to buy and you can get amber with bugs ( think jurassic park) in it for cheap! Joewww.greenboxphotography.com

Misternatural 0 #13 December 17, 2009 Jebus I spent two weeks in that country visiting my peace corps GF..talkin' armed people everywhere, chickens on the taxi trucks and buses, people fucking in the street, No traffic rules whatsoever, as soon as I exited the hotel I was surrounded by "entrepreneurs" offering to be my official black market tour guides. The cab driver from the airport told me to say I was Canadian so I would not get kidnapped. yep a real four star travel destination. but the beaches are nice. it was an interesting trip and I have tons of stories.
