New Year's Eve: Awesome or Eh?

Recommended Posts

The older I get, the less I care if I stay up to greet the new year. If I have a good party to go to, I'll go, but I'm not going to make a big deal out of the night if I don't have something specific planned.

What are your New Year's Eve plans?

I just played a fun game called "Apples to Apples" last night. It looks like a kid's game, but it was a lot of fun for us adults. It's great for 4+ people.

This will be the first year in 4 yrs I have plans to go to a new years party and able to enjoy the night. The 9yr olds best friends parents are throwing this one so they are making it kid friendly. The kids are having a xmas gift exchange so they will be occupied with new toys while the adults are having a few drinks.

I have never been a big fan of New Years parties. I guess cause I have always be elected the DD or would have to work the next morning.

I have always resented the pressure, hassle and expense that is attached to New Year's.. To me it's just another day..

Everyone *else* can spend all their money on ridiculous cover-charges and over-priced drinks - I'm just going to quietly indulge in a beer or two whilst watching a DVD in the comfort of my own home.. :)

We much rather spend it at the DZ, or host a party at home or at friends. But its a great opportunity for a good time!

Nat a female friend said if you get the suction cup based dildo, then set the seat height just right it makes for a great calf and thigh workout as well!

She said after 45 minutes of bouncing up and down her legs were like limp noodles.

Must have made working out much more fun and fun to watch as well!

I think there are a lot of people who would love to say they were flying to France for New Year's. I know I would!

Oooh, New Year's at the base of the Eiffel Tower or on the Champs Elysees? How cool would that be? B|

We're having a bunch of jumpers over. I have to work the next day, so I'll be toasting the New Year with sparkling cider. :S:)

I'll be in Bordeaux (south-West of France). I'm pretty excited about it, so there goes my theory about having a quiet one to avoid disappointment!! :D:D

Edit to add: *and* it has cost me a bunch of money.. I'm *such* a numpty!

I don't drink. Seems most events on that night revolve around alcohol.
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I hear ya.. I drink here and there, but don't like the whole drink-to-get-drunk thing, which is especially prevalent around New Year's.. But that doesn't mean we can't have fun anyway :):D
