Going to vegas

you have to drop into at least one club. Call it...research.

In all honesty, you've seen one club, you've seen em all. Go to Montreal instead: Vegas quality, De Moines prices (I just picked Des Moines out of thin air.. for all I know, they're expensive there lol), and a lot more, mmm. interaction. But heh, if in Vegas, why not!

And JT: the baton twirler act was too long too IMO. :P

Check out the turbines on that baby!

The new bridge they're building to cross that canyon is pretty cool too. Its not every day, these days, where you can see a brand new suspension bridge being build from up close!

I've done land sailing before (in Vegas, too)

Its fun, easy to learn but is very dependant on wind.

I would do it again.

Wind is a bit easier to find in the western most playa's like Racetrack Playa . It used to be fun years ago before the Park Service started getting WAY too overprotective... Trouble is getting to a lot of the dry Pleistocene lakebeds is not the easiest undertaking and many of them are closed because idiots abused them.

I just downloaded the latest version of Google Earth and noticed the pictures taken of the dam and new bridge were taken just recently. You can clearly see the approaches on both sides and some support columns already built. :)

Seriously?

When I was at A&M all I could afford to do for a big trip is drive to Big Bend. I slept in my truck and ate MREs for the 5 days I was there!

I turn 30 this year. My wife and I have very good jobs and I still haven't been to Vegas. You suck!

:P

haha yeah thats why you haven't seen me out at the dropzone lately, working my ass off and saving a lot of money. But I should be out soon since I'm back now anyways

And thanks for the ideas guys, the zipline and land yachting are great, any other things?

3 days in Vegas is good.

4 is about all I can take.

9? Good luck.

+1..... may the force be with you. I'm going again in May.

Well I will be turning 21 this summer, so its all new to me. Vegas may get old in a few days for yall, but to somebody that hasn't gotten to *legally* gamble and drink I'm pretty sure it will be worth the 9 days :)

Ok, here's what you need to do.

1. Go buy Phil Hellmuth's hold'em book and read it. ;)

2. Find a nice 1-2 no limit game in Vegas.

3. Put on a hoodie, dark shades and bring your ipod B|

4. Tell me when and where you'll be playing. :D

It's not that at all...... it is sensory overload. I never really sleep there and it all just becomes overwhelming. You will enjoy it though. :P

Perhaps more practical advice:

Study up on short stack strategy, because you will get likely get bullied by players with stacks several times the max buy-in.

lol, I hope you didn't think i was actually serious with that "advice"

Though it's my dream to run across the people who actually do this :)

No, I knew you weren't serious. If you were serious, you would have recommended a different book. :P
