Harmless 0 #10 February 11, 2010 Meh, I'm so done with programming... it isn't what I really wanted to do anyways, just got suckered into it by the military because I already knew how. 5 months till separation and I can get back into the hardware. Got an awesome job lined up doing managed IT services (firewalls, routers, and switches)"Damn you Gravity, you win again"

Psychonaut 0 #12 February 11, 2010 Holy crap replies! It wasn't necessarily a big project just something I didn't know 100% at this point.. but I just sat down and grueled through it. And I agree with whoever mentioned getting out of programming.. it isn't always the most fun! Neither is IT in all aspects but it definitely leaves more hair that didn't get pulled out of your head..Stay high pull low
Harmless 0 #13 February 11, 2010 But remote managing hardware provides for very flexible hours and little time at a desk... I went snow boarding with my new boss a few weeks ago... we were riding in the back seat of the truck, configuring firewalls and streaming hulu "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
Psychonaut 0 #14 February 11, 2010 Hell yeah haha. My boss is cool, young guy. I'm glad it isn't some old prick ya know? And it's nice that the guy running all the servers is cool. We could open a business with the amount of movies and such we have!Stay high pull low
