Risers and packing techniques...

Recommended Posts

I know everyone has their own packing methods but I have seen a lot of people tie the risers together [normaly with a pull up] when they are pro-packing. I have never done this but would like to know what the advantages [if any] are?

It also prevents the risers spreading out and flipping over, it makes it a lot easier to check for step-throughs and continuity by having them equal and close.

PLUS - when you get to the closing, you have a pull up right there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pete Draper,

Just because my life plan is written on the back of a Hooter's Napkin, it's still a life plan.... right?

Thanks for all the advice. I have just finished the pack job and I tied the risers together, just before the Slinks and it worked great. The lines when stoed on the bag were much more even and neat. I guess I'll have to go and see if I have a nice deployment tomorrow.
