All joking aside, look into a citizens police academy so you can learn some real things about real law enforcement. It will help you make educated decisions about your arguments and their validity.
QuoteIf you don't have time to complete a citizen's police academy or one isn't offered by an agency in your area, perhaps you could complete a ride along with a local agency. That would help give you an idea of what the real day-to-day of a police officer truly is.
I have no interest in a "citizen's police academy", its not my job.
The Cops who use tasers are generally excused regardless if the recipient is dead because he or she followed department rules regarding use of the stun gun.
The citizen they accosted for a minor violation is just as dead as if they had taken out their 9mm sidearm and shot him.
What that means is that an offense as minor as swearing at a cop or not responding fast enough to an order from a police officer could become a capital offense.
The risk to citizens-at-large is too great for police officers to be allowed to use stun guns for anything less than a life-threatening situation.
Just go to youtube and see the footage of how many cops used stun guns out of anger to punish people they were forced to chase on foot or during a car chase.
Its apparent in almost 100% of the stuff I have seen that the cop takes it personally.
“YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY” Get this personal shit out of your minds or get another job.
Stun guns are only slightly less dangerous than real guns. In the hands of an angry cop who thinks his "suspect" is still resisting because he's twisting in agony on the ground—and gives him another pulsating burst for good measure—a stun gun can be just as lethal as a gun.

So sit back and monday morning quarterback and bitch is more effective? Instead of a citizen academy just go do a ride-a-long and see things from the officers point of view. It was an eye opener for me to say the least. You will also learn they are not a bunch of electron wielding nutjobs like you are trying to paint.

If i do a ride along with you do i have to wrap my arms around you on the back of the bike?
Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

I cannot get the scene from the movie Dumb & Dumber when they were going to Aspen on the moped.

Well, it would be great to have you there, to put new cartridges into my Taser for all of those people that I punish every single day by hitting them with a taser...after all of those foot chases and fights I get into every day, apparently!
Man, people need to stop watching Cops and really learn what modern police work really is!
All of that, and sure, you can spoon up with me on the bike.

QuoteJust go to youtube...
YouTube is the proverbial room full of infinite monkeys with typewriters. Don't let what bleeds lead all over again.

Of course they aren't nutjobs! And I know the youtube shit is not the norm. I have cops as personal friends as well as family members.
I just don't like tazers!!!
I don't see a need for them because they kill. I'm still from the school that says let 'em go. Except for the really serious "dangerous" shit, the normal bust probably has something to do with laws I have little respect for anyway.
Remember, the drug laws in effect keep millions of people in jobs. Its not whats right or wrong, todays laws all have financial consideration.
Tasers are a great tool for law enforcement. More people get tased and live than people who get shot and live. If you get tased, most likely you were doing something really stupid.

Pepper Spray, I never leave home without it!
Had to use it about 3 weeks ago, I was riding home, and saw soem asshole just decll a woman on teh sidewalk, I pulled to the side, jumped off and grabbed him off of her, (Then noticed he had the size advantage on me)
I warned him once, but his drunk ass still tried to get me, Pepper stopped him dead in his tracks! (THEN, his wife that he was beating started screaming at me to mind my own business, with blood dripping down her mouth from his punch!
Oh well, I am not gonna watch a woman get beat!

And from that list of deaths you printed were the person high in crank, coke, PCP or anything else that was a sever threat to the officer?

Doctors , Lawyers, Cops , Bikers, Ballet Dancer's , Actors , CEO's...once we put on those parachutes, and climb into a plane, we are all just Skydivers!
Many departments have polices that place the use of an intermediate weapon directly below deadly force. If not with the presence of an intermediate weapon, such as a Taser, lethal force would have been used.
Can I suggest that you look into a citizens police academy in your area so you can further educate yourself on the ins and outs of real police work, not just what you see on TV.
