Old movie, "The Quest"?

Recommended Posts

Not sure on the title, I think it was "the quest". It was about a boy who is trying to find out what is going on in a small lake, he builds a scuba suit from a fish bowl and dives down and his family and girlfriend think he is dead, but it ends up he is hiding in a air pocket of a submerged backhoe.

I remember renting it when I was about 7 or 8 years old. Barely remember it, anyone else remember this? a real title?

Just finished watcing it (torrent from Demonoid). I love movies like that. Good remimenders of childhood. The kid was accused of jumping the local war memorial with a parachute:D

That is the most memorable part of the movie for me, the first 5 min. I must have watched it a hundred times as a second grader. the girl was cute, he was a BASE jumper, he built scuba gear, all cool stuff.

It seemed kinda non-politically correct for todays standards. not racist, just, racially ignorant.

Dokengin. wicked.

Watch a film called "Son of Rambow" (yes, that's how it's spelled). Also, if you haven't seen it, watch "Stand by Me."

Different subject: I have a whole rant post in mind about kids nowadays sitting in their rooms playing video games instead of being outside on their bikes or feet screwing off all day and just exploring.

I remember that movie, thought it was great when I watched it when I was young. Now it looks like they learned how to film and add a music score from 1950's Disney reels.
