BigM 2 #1 April 11, 2010 OK kids, here's what I'm looking for. My bride and I are going to Hawaii in late June for our 25th anniversary. Once upon a time I was stationed at Pearl Harbor for 4 years. Wanted to find someone that was active duty military that wouldn't mind taking us on the base for about 15 minutes to show the wife and to reminisce. Can anyone help a brother out? Many thanks- Jeff "When I die, I want to go like my grandmother, who died peacefully in her sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in her car." JerryBaumchen 1,047 #2 April 11, 2010 Hi Big, I did something similar when two other guys & I revisited Edwards AFB a few years ago; we were stationed there ~50 yrs ago. I suggest you write to the Base Commander & explain what you want to do; they usually have personnel for just this type of stuff. It is what I did for our visit and we had a great time and a royal treatment; not bad for three former enlisted dudes. JerryBaumchen
gravitysurfer 0 #3 April 14, 2010 I worked on the Pearl Harbor Submarine Base between 2000 and 2005. I quite often met veterans who were taking a family tour with an escort. Not sure what the security policy might be today. You may try contacting MWR here >>http://www.greatlifehawaii.com/ aloha.
