If Apple made parachutes....

Recommended Posts

- it would cost twice as much as other brand names
- it would be only covered by warranty for 1 year
- you could service it ONLY with apple for an outrageous price
- you couldn't repair it if it broke, you could only buy another new one
- you couldn't skydive anywhere but Apple-designated DZs

What else? :ph34r::D

You have to use an Apple approved container, reserve and an AAD running iOS 4 at the minimum.

If it malfunctions, you have to take it to a 'Genius' that doesnt know anything about it thats not covered in the troubleshooting book. Not to mention the repack will cost $300 because "Theres less Apple Genius' than there are FAA riggers." Demand is high!

You can only order 2 colors, black and white.

Gotta hit for the apple side.:P

If Apple made parachutes they would:

-be 90% less likely to have malfunctions.
-pack themselves
-open quickly but smoothly EVERYTIME.
-be cool(temperature) to wear so hot days wouldn't be so bad.
-be lighter then most other canopies.

what else?

Oh i got one!

Apple containers would be stable enough to accomodate other parachutes but work best with Apple-made parachutes and AADs

As long as you use an apple - adaptable parachute, or use an adapter... ;)

Certain riggers in "the know" could crack these apple parachutes so they could be used with non-apple containers. There would be an underground market for parachute crackers.

A cracked parachute would not allow any software upgrades, err... I mean relining.

Its cheaper to just buy a new container than to change out the proprietary pilot chute.

A dumbass engineer would leave the new unreleased rig sitting on a barstool in a bar. The rigger group would pay dozens of times its value just to get their hands on it and reverse engineer it so they could 'repack' it with unauthorized items.

The person that found it would be charged the price of the rig and get in trouble for selling it.

BUT oh those 10% would be catastrophic beyond belief

-open quickly but smoothly EVERYTIME.

-EVERYBODY would have to be a rigger.
-One color - BlueScreen.
-You'd pay double what it's worth.
-You wouldn't get to jump. All your time would be involved with rigging repairs and tweaks.
-Your interface would be stolen from another company.

It would only deploy if you "held it" in the Apple approved manner:o

After 5 years you would be told that all bounces were not because of impact with the ground but that the "altitude algorithm" was wrong!

You would only have one handle. (single click mouse)

wow... and would PC computers operate with MS-DOS on a 5'1/4'' floppy ?

Apple mice don't have "single click buttons since... long"

Now there is the "smart mouse" wich will do something different for each part you touch it.. and never what you want :D
