Anyone know of any aviation related forums similar to dropzone.com? I've looked around and the only ones that seem to be active at all are the manufacturer specific ones.

There are a lot of type specific "groups" at Yahoo.com open to the public.

I participate on the Int'l Cessna 180/185 club and the Cessna Pilots Assn forums both of which are loaded with great info.

I liked the diverdriver forum, other than their opinion about pilots spotting , I don;t giev a damn who spoted, I take a look before I leap!

That and their idea of using "J" jump runs that run long! great way to have divers traccking into each other!

airliners.net has some pretty active forums. Can hear about aviation news on there a day or two before the larger media world gets wind.

Also, as far as model specific forums go, www.vansairforce.net is a fantastic forum for RV and experimental enthusiasts. They also have a very active classifieds section with some smoking deals.

www.pprune.org - more professional pilot oriented site. Started in the UK I think but very broadly used by English speaking pilots I hear.
