I still can't taste the difference between Skyline and (I want to say Gold Star) chili. Topping or not, its not that great.

My ex is from Lebanon, and she insisted that I eat some of both... neither were remarkable.

Another one here that thought he meant Skyline Chili. I went to UC for college. I thought it was horrible for as long as I was comparing it to what I knew as chili, however, once I just took it for what it was I really started loving it.

I grew up in Cincinnati and I LOVE it. I made my husband try it once, and now when we go to Cincy to visit he requests that we stop there. Skyline is much better than Gold Star, BTW.

I recently discovered a bar that just opened up within walking distance from our house in Tennessee that has Cincinnati chili on the menu. Haven't tried it yet, but supposedly they make it in-house. Found out the owners are damn Yankees like me, originally from a town near Cincinnati too.

Blue Bell and Graeters are barely the same product, so it's hard to compare. I LOVE Blue Bell and would pick it over any other mass produced ice cream. Graeters is on a whole different level though. Mmmm...Peanut Butter Chocolate "Chip"

If you walk into a Skyline Chili expecting the kind of chili to put on a Frito Pie, you will be sorely disappointed, surprised, shocked, whatever. 4-way = that plus beans

or you could get a coney dog...hot dog with chili and cheese.

someone said it right. Once you stop trying to compare it to Texas-style chili, that's when you start to appreciate it.

As for Graeters, someday, it will take over the world, and you will all realize what sort of ice cream nirvana you have been striving for unto that day...
