posting pictures?

I tried to submit a few pictures a couple times over the last few days, but it doesnt seem to be working.

The file size has to be pretty small. This site uses older formatting. It shows in the appearance of the forums, the emoticons available and the file sizes for pics and e-mail.
This is NOT a complaint, simply a statement.

If it was a complaint, I'd ask for my money back.

I think the limit is higher now?
Not sure what, but more like 300k?? Gotta be listed somewhere.

Try 100KB. Really.
I just tried to upload a good sized picture (1MB) and got:

i have a picture program which generally lets me convert pics to a smaller size....
If you'd like, you can email me with the pic(s) as an attachment...
If i can,,, i'll convert them and return them to you, via email.
It seems to me, that i have done that for others here, in the past...

No, 300k or so is the limit, really.

Just recently I posted some pics as attachments, anything over about 300 was rejected, and one of 287 was OK.

So I think the 100 is an error left over in the text they display if something is rejected, from when the limits were lower.

I think it depends on the format of the photo. A few times, I've had a 180KB photo and it uploaded. Another was 154KB and it got rejected. So confusing

The limits are higher if you're a premier member, I believe. Also the limits are higher in some forums that need higher res picture posting capability, like the photography forum.
