MajorDad 0 #6 April 28, 2011 How do you know this is the same guy? Mercier is a pretty common name in this area.... Last I heard, Mercier was selling real estate in Calgary (4 hours away from this ranch). Major Dad CSPA D-

Andrewwhyte 1 #10 April 28, 2011 Nothing unusual about cattle ranchers shooting dogs for running their cattle. Happens all the time.
spootch 0 #11 April 28, 2011 QuoteNothing unusual about cattle ranchers shooting dogs for running their cattle. Happens all the time. Happens here all the time. I find it funny how the dog owners never answer as to why thier dog was found running loose on someone elses property. People should take resposibility for their pets. There was an instance here where a pair of dogs put the run on a cow/calf pair. The cow went through the fence and the calf followed. Along comes an unsuspecting driver and drove into the calf who was now standing on the road. The calf died, the fence was wrecked and guess who had to pay for the vehicle repair and the fence ? NOT THE DOG OWNERS !
toronto_bill 0 #12 April 29, 2011 Okay...I admit I have obviously jumped to a conclusion on the identity. To all who posted....I stand corrected. I am a dog owner and found the number of dogs killed extremely high. I do understand the farmers predicament. Thanks all who posted to correct me ...I am humble once again...
