:P

I had my unibrow lasered a few years ago. It's a little painful but not too crazy. They gave me a prescription for lidocaine paste to numb up the treatment area. They told me to razor shave the area 24 hours before treatment, then about an hour before my appt. to apply the ointment. The laser itself looked like an ultrasound probe, just a remote-control sized object that they held to your skin. The pulses, even with the numbing paste, feel like someone is snapping you with a rubber band.

The cost is related to the surface area you're interested in treating since the number of pulses goes up proportionally.

My forehead handled it fine. For the ladies that get that done to their nethers, my hat is off to you!

ETA: remember laser hair removal works best with dark hair. Fine, blonde hairs won't absorb the laser wavelength and be treated. You're stuck with more traditional treatments and electrolysis for fine blonde hairs.

I am in the process of doing it. The description of the procedure is pretty accurate although I do not use the numbing ointment. Also, it should be noted that I was told that it takes approximately 10 treatments (and 2 years). this may differ based on the area treated. And, the area treated cannot be exposed to the sun for 4 weeks before the treatment and 1 week after the treatment.

Wow, your place is hardcore. My place said 3-5 treatments (I only did three, that was enough) and I think they said something about no sun for a week or so before or after, but hey it's my face so it basically came down to making sure I wasn't sunburned.

One more reason to shop around, I guess...
