At your age you just need a comfy pair of tartan slippers.

when i am in the grave mate can get them with a huge discount of £50-70 but was originally looking at the Scarpa sl BXX but discontinued and replaced with these ones.

Have a look at the Merrell Wilderness boot. It's been around for years and enjoys a legendary reputation. I have owned a pair for 15-20 years and I'm about to send it back to Merrell to get re-soled...again. REI and others sell them for $300, but if you wear a size 10.5, 11, or 13, you can snag a pair from Nordstroms for $99.90.

Cheers will check them out:). Recently only bought boots to last a season or 2 before getting binned. As i kept looking for a set of Aigle boots which lasted 7 years and where superbly comfy:)
This time i have decided a set of minimum B1 rated boots with the hope, i can be fit enough to do some winter walking. I now for a fact my training hill is white topped, So need the equipment and be prepared B|.
