Most People Only Watch....

eh?

I'm sure she's referring to the fact most people go through life simply watching from the sidelines and never actually playing the game. It's not really any fault of their own, it's simply the way society is set up to begin with. We can't all be rock stars, porn stars, sports stars and movie stars, society would collapse if we tried. The vast majority of us have to, in fact, only watch.

BULLSHIT, SPOKEN LIKE A LIFE LONG NOBODY

I was going to type spoken like a life long loser, but that can be taken as more of a PA than intended.

People watch because they choose to.
Society has little to nothing to do with it.

Step up and live life the way YOU choose anything else is a COP OUT.

Uh huh. Check back in after 50 and tell me what you've really accomplished in life. My guess is you didn't cure cancer. Nothing to do with you personally or anyone in particular, but society simply can't support everyone being the rock star with nobody in the audience. Sure, everybody can try to be their best and everybody can participate to a certain degree, but the vast majority have to be the audience and the reality is you wouldn't want it to be any other way.

Just look at YouTube, probably the most accessible form ever invented, yet 99% of it is pure crap.

Would a game of football be worth watching if the average person was playing?

Is 99% of everything written by people worth reading?

So, sure, live life the way you want to, but only a small percentage of anything is going to be worth watching, which relegates the vast majority of us to being the watchers rather than the rock stars.

Society measures them by their accomplishments.

Society...now there's a bunch of winners!

Yet, try doing anything by yourself without society. Give it a shot and report back to us. I mean, unless your goal is to live alone on a deserted island, even then I doubt you can do it without any aid from society. You're most certainly not going to be a rock star without society sitting in the audience and getting their approval. You could be the most awesome musician on the planet, but if you only played in your garage, how would you know? At some point, you pretty much have to put it out there to be judged by society.

Ok, your "life rocks." Awesome. Good for you.

Still doesn't apply to "most people."

Ya, people by whom you apparently wanna be judged?
Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

Pathetic...absolutely.

You ironically look down your nose at the concept of a societal judgement as if you're "above" it all, yet look at what YOU just wrote.

Yes, society will absolutely judge. YOU are part of that and YOU just did.

What's "pathetic" is your inability to recognize it.

(Like talking to a brick wall here . . . seriously.)

That's why most people only watch and wish their life could rock.

Add another point to the "my life rocks" group :):P

Who gives a fuck what society thinks? If I'm the one out doing what I want then Im much better off than the people sitting around watching wishing they could.

It's like saying most people would rather go out and watch a professional sporting event than go play it themselves. They don't have to pros at it and they don't need to have people watch them play to validate it. I think life is much better doing the things you to yourself rather than living vicariously through the actions of others.

Sorry Quade...most of us are not interested in living a life for you to watch. Nor or we concerned about whether or not you consider to be worth watching.
My reality and yours are quite different.
I think we're all Bozos on this bus.

Wrong. So very wrong.
