JohnMitchell 14 #26 May 9, 2012 Quote What they don't understand is that there are so many men like that out there that it ruins it for all guys, because I am far less open and welcoming to all men as a result of the unwanted, frequently crass attention I received in my late teens/early 20's. To avoid those guys (who do not take much encouragement) means avoiding the nice guy sitting behind him, too. So many guys say "Why are good looking women such bitches?" I say "It's because if they're nice and smile at you, you act like they want to have your baby."

It is SO SO unfortunate that their are SO many threats out there that it really has ruined things for nice guys. It's why I used to HATE clubs. Seemed like it was all about dickhead men scoping out the drunkest (have forgotten all about this sort of stuff) women and if that didn't work out they were out to get in a fight. Tough to have fun in a place like that for some average Joe just out to socialize. -------------------------------------------------- In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. ~ Thomas Jefferson

That may be true of people who delliberately look for "easy targets" but doesn't account for the "crazies" that are out there... godfrog 2 #31 May 10, 2012 answer this for me if you can. I once stopped a man that was beating a woman in an alley, and I mean really badly beating her, I stopped and subdued this man and then I came under attack from the woman....Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward

Because she considered your attack on her man to be worse than his attack on her. Not terribly uncommon. Ask any cop why they fear domestic distrubances the worst. In addition, by this time she has been conditioned to expect another/worse beating once you're gone, just because he's pissed he couldn't finish the first one. By now, she feels she deserves the beating (or at least that she can't counter his justification, warped as it may be), and that he will have something else to blame her for if she accepts your help.See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump! I once had a stop where we had a female cop take the baby from the woman who appeared under the domination of the main suspect. The female cop took the baby and discovered where the gun was... The sweet little woman with the baby had the gun in the baby's blanket. Happens over and over. You confront the bad guy and his woman shoots you in the back.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.
