Movies on DVD

Recommended Posts

I'm familiar and love the classics.

What I'm looking for is a good, recently released movie.

There are so many shitty new movies, it is unbelievable!!!!!

Seen Memento and Inception...both I enjoyed alot.

Didn't see Primer. Can you give me a quick overview about what it's about or I can just Goggle it, huh?

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Margin Call
Beginners
Easy A
Crazy Heart
Michael Clayton

That's just a few (looked down my Netflix list of movies I've gotten in the last few years to recall which ones I enjoyed the most. Of course, lots of the best ones I actually got around to seeing in the theater, but these were all enjoyable ones).

Fantastic movie...very inspirational. In fact my honey & I are leaving in 2 weeks to begin the journey. You'll understand when you see the movie! ;)

"Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close"

I see the artistic merit and good storytelling in this one, but honestly I have to say I did not enjoy it. It was too incredibly painful to watch.

Yeah. I understand. Sometimes it's difficult to watch a movie because the subject matter hits a bit close. I'm ok with that though. I'd rather watch something like that than "Transformers" any day.

The Big Lebowski

Shut the fuck up, Donnie.

My favorite is the edit for TV:

"Do you see what happens, Larry? Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the alps? This is what happens, Larry! This is what happens when you feed a stoner scrambled eggs!"

"The Princess Bride" - a total classic...if you don't like this movie, you don't have any feelings. :)
"To Kill a Mockingbird" - again, an absolute classic, especially if you're American. ;)

"Alien" - Find a Blu-Ray copy, it's worth it.

"Aliens" - again, find a Blu-Ray edition, and get the Director's Cut...as he describes it, their intent was to portray "20 miles of bad road"...it worked!
