shermanator 3 #1 November 9, 2012 I found this little guy at work. I've been holding him all day, I'm curious if anyone can tell me what kind of snake it is. Yorba Linda, ca, so I'm guessing just like a gopher snake or something like that?CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #

FreeFallFiend 0 #3 November 9, 2012 Missing a picture, but based on your description I think it's safe to assume thats a trouser snake. Mostly harmless unless you are careless with it. Try not to handle it too much as they are known to spit. Fiend I am about to take my last voyage, a great leap in the dark. - Thomas Hobbes.

skydivecat 3 #6 November 9, 2012 Def appears to be venomous (shape of head is the clue there, my college herpetology course was a long time ago though). I agree with young rattler. I would be careful... just my $.

Remster 24 #8 November 9, 2012 Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't juvenile rattlers EXTREMELY dangerous since they don't dose when they bite?????Remster
skydivecat 3 #9 November 9, 2012 Yup, adults tend to withhold some venom, babies are inexperienced so when they bite, they usually unload ALL their venom. To the OP, if you are serious, put that lil guy down and let him head on his way before he kills you.
headoverheels 291 #10 November 9, 2012 Western rattlesnake. Not considered dangerous until they are born.

headoverheels 291 #15 November 9, 2012 The Guatemalan clearing brush from my backyard weed-eatered a couple of rattlers to death, which he was going to take home to eat. He indicated the rattler, and said "for lady." I said "for BAby?" He said "no, for LAdy." Apparently you tie the rattler with a string onto your schlong, so it goes "ching..ching....ching..ching" as you are doing the deed. Erotic -- when you use the rattler. Kinky -- when you use the whole snake.
