Squeak 17 #1 March 7, 2013 So with all the new mobile tech around now, and thre fact that I travel around the world a bit, often in places with limited A/C power. I was looking at these little "powerbanks" 6600mA - 11000mA, for emergency/backup powering of phone and tablets. Anyone using them and have a review of them, best brands? worst.? usfulness? Thanks Something like this You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? vskydiver 0 #2 March 7, 2013 I use this one and love it! It's so nice to be able to charge on the go. It's also small so I can use my phone or other devices very easily while it's charging them. It comes with a bunch of adapters but I've also just plugged the cord that comes with my devices into it and it worked just fine. It also seems to charge my devices up really fast, although when I plug it in to recharge it takes awhile. (3 or 4 hours) That's the only draw back I've had with it. http://www.amazon.com/5600mAh-External-Battery-Charger-Flashlight/dp/B005K7192G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362622323&sr=8-1&keywords=anker+power+bank
jono 0 #5 March 7, 2013 Been using this with no complaints and love it but its the only one I've ever owned so........ http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/universal-6600mah-power-bank-battery-charger/ Works great and crazy cheap but like vskydiver mentioned, takes 3 hrs or so to charge the charger. That Kogan one is the reason Im asking but at only 6600mA it's a tad small for a mobile and 2 tabletsYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! grantunderland 0 #8 March 7, 2013 I used this one when I was tenting it at the DZ. My phone and tablet lasted Friday PM through Monday AM on it with no problems. Only downside might be that it has only one 2.1A port, so if you have two iPads or something could be an issue
