AggieDave 6 #4 May 12, 2013 airtwardo OR a bigger bike! Pfft. Amateur! This was my load out to swoop nationals a few years ago. All my skydiving/swooping gear, plus clothes and such for a week on the DZ. On the upside it rained for most of the ride to Spaceland. I did get some strange looks on the beltway and it was overall an enjoyable ride.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." normiss 751 #6 May 12, 2013 You just need a bigger bike. A King Tour pack will hold two rigs and a gear bag. Or 6 Cisco routers. Or TWO cases of beer. Saddle bags also make decent beer coolers, although you will get some strange looks when the saddle bag starts sweating. It holds more cans than bottles, so be sure to pick up some Dale's Pale Ale. AggieDave 6 #11 May 12, 2013 rwiederGeez, AD That's off the hook! Nothing come un-J'd? Nope, it rode well. As bulky as all of that was it weighed less than 100lbs, so it still rode better than when riding 2-up. Everything was run through the oversized sissy bar and bungied up, so it didn't even shift. The worse part was worrying about the bags I had packed everything leaking since it poured rain the entire ride.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." skymama 35 #13 May 12, 2013 There's this guy, Henry, who invented a thing called an automobile. You should get one. Problem solved! AggieDave 6 #14 May 12, 2013 oldwomanc6 Yeah, but the CG was above your waist. Ever ridden a modern BMW sport touring bike? I spent quite a bit of time on the 1150RT and I have to tell you, that is the highest CG bike I've ever been on. 800lbs of fall over monster that liked to eat coil packs.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." redramdriver 0 #16 May 13, 2013 This is what I use. Works fine, lots of room for camping gear, golf clubs, ice chest....take off for a week and get lost...and pulls nicely even at 70+ highway speeds. So, you bring your beer? FlyingRhenquest 1 #17 May 13, 2013 You could get one with a sidecar! Or one of them newfangled bikes with four wheels. You know... a CAR! Heh heh heh I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
skyjumpenfool 2 #18 May 13, 2013 Twardo... You're ride is fine just as it is. Trike?? Sure, then turn in your Man Card. Trailer?? Then you may as well drive a car. Car?? Next they'll want you to pull a trailer behind the car. Just strap that shit on and go. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." DSE 5 #19 May 13, 2013 Similar setup. Holds a few dozen wingsuits, two rigs, coupla helmets, sleeping bag, clothes, and extra fuel for those cross-desert rides to faraway DZ's. Bike has 130,000 miles, trailer approx 25,
JohnMitchell 16 #20 May 13, 2013 Slick setup, DSE. I can remember going out to Cedar Valley with all my gear on the back of my Yamaha. Of course, that was a Racer, one jumpsuit, a frap hat and an altimeter. The sport's a lot more complicated these days.

AggieDave 6 #22 May 13, 2013 FlyingRhenquestYou could get one with a sidecar! On the way to SD Temple years ago, I passed a bright yellow Goldwing with a sidecar that was pulling a trailer. The backseat had a huge bag on it, the sidecar had a huge bag in it and the trailer was riding like it was heavy. Impressive really, like a small U-haul.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
