It is obviously a 19th century whos-a-whatsit.

or something that was found on a color glossy photograph with a paragraph on the back of each one.

Yeah, I got the pic from there. Hoping someone here might know. I like the pic of the colored ones. It's possible someone made the thing
just for giggles.
