Cheapasses: What food do you bring to the DZ?

Recommended Posts

If I remember to plan ahead, I take trail mix and biltong.

Otherwise we have an excellent Cafe and just buy a bowl of chips. I guess if you are a real cheap-skate you can help yourself to others chips:P

I've also got a tub of Gatorade/Powerade mix in the car, and just mix as needed.

Can't I keep both?

And people wonder why I don't get to jump much. :P;)

I guess that depends on your definition of "jump."

Can you have a chat with my girlfriend about how to show your love for someone?

Quickest way to a man's heart is through his stomach, or a blow job. Tell her to pick one. ;)

As per the topic: Those of you who hate wasting money on getting food at the DZ or god forbid going into town, what do you do for food?

What's cheap, nourishing, reasonable calories (don't wanna be a fatty again, losing this shit was a lot of work), and doesn't require refrigeration?

I've been toying with the idea of freezing PBJ sandwiches the night before, then leaving 'em in the trunk and maybe they're still cool even on a hot day. I don't know what that'd do to the bread, though… potential "ew".

Are we talking for a day trip or a week long boogie?

Can you bring a hard sided cooler and some gel ice packs?

This will sort of guide my input! :)

Next thing they'll be breeding us like cattle for food.

That is something to consider when you go to Eloi.

I always bring Soylent Green.
No one ever steals my lunch.:P

Perfect! :D:D:D

I tend to bring some veggie sticks with a dip and a sandwich; nothing big, but enough for the day. And in the evening there is beer ;)
Some call it obsession.
I call it dedication.
