Squeak 17 #1 October 7, 2013 Any of you Tech-head know how thick a layer of aluminum one would need to effectively (i know it wont completely) block a standard scanner? You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! monkycndo 0 #2 October 7, 2013 If it can stop a depleted uranium shell, should be good for RFID.50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
oldwomanc6 38 #3 October 7, 2013 Well, a couple of years ago, we realized that we had two EZpasses in the car, so we wrapped one up in a foil burrito wrapper, and never were double charged. I guess it doesn't take much. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

quade 3 #5 October 7, 2013 If I was really concerned, I wouldn't do it myself. I understand theory, but as cheap as professional product is, I think that would just be the better way to go. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/ElectricalOEM/Home/Products/DataProtectionSleeves/quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
FlyingRhenquest 1 #6 October 7, 2013 One layer should be enough, it's a very weak signal. So your hat should be fine to block all the RFID implants in your skull from... guys...I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here? shropshire 0 #7 October 7, 2013 I used to work in an RFID tech team for a supermarket.... It really doesn't take much to stop them .. in fact it take a lot to get the damned things working.... they are easily de-tuned by applying them to the products that you are trying to protect [doh]. nb different frequency ones behave differently and the active ones (powered) are easier to pick up - but they are all easy to defeat. but remember the ones that get put into your neck by the CIA can be read from space (.)Y(.) seedy 0 #9 October 7, 2013 We had and application where we installed the tags between the rails on a railroad and the locomotive would read them when it passed over them. We used off the shelf turkey roasting pans turned upside down to block them during our testing phases. I intend to live forever -- so far, so good.
