I'd like to add the way people shorten words such as in texting (which I hate anyway)... u, u2, ur, ty, ily.

I'm guilty of abbreviating words to shorten phrases like OMG, LMFAO, IIRC, FWIW, TPIWWOP, etc. But I don't shorten actual words.

The one I detest follows when I make some statement and someone in the group replies with:

"I know, right?"

What is that supposed to mean? Are they asking me if they are correct in saying that they know? How would I know that?
