Doppelgangers

Recommended Posts

I have been told I have one. I used to date a guy, and his roommate dated a friend of mine. One day, my friend was at the guys house while they were watching a football game. She fell asleep on the couch, when she woke up, she swore I was sitting on the edge of the couch.
That's how I found out I wasn't dating that guy any more..

OH yea! A friend of mine has a very nice wife. I have only met her once 10 years ago. He is very proud of her and talks about her accomplishments and shows off her picture. At work the other night, I swore she walked through the door. I started carrying on a conversation with her, like I knew her, but it wasn't his wife.

Whereas, my doppelganger could only be the illegitimate child of Jesse Ventura and Vin Diesel... Do you have one?

Why does it look that in almost EVERY photo, the two are supposed to be lovers?:o

My story is very similar. Years ago, a guy friend of mine called me late one night to ask what was wrong with me. I asked why. He said because I ignored him as he was beeping and waving at me as I sat in the passenger seat of my boyfriend's SUV going down the 4 x 4 path to the beach. Wasn't me. :|:S[:/]

One season I was jumping at a little 182 DZ at Coldwater MI. I had just finished packing my rig, stood up, and a pair of arms wrapped around me from behind and gave me a big hug. Now this came as quite a surprise to me since I had driven there alone.:o I turned around to see who it was and the chick shrieked and jumped backward. It seems another jumper and I looked quite similar when we were both wearing only shorts and shoes, and viewed from the back.:D

Years ago so many different people around here, like a coworker, a girl in a mall, at a nail salon.... they were all calling me Nikki. Apparently, there's a girl named Nikki in this area and we're "twins" but it must be with my natural color hair because I haven't heard anyone say that to me in years and years.

There's 7 women in NJ with my same maiden name (one in my town and a couple of others in the same county). Two women in NJ with my married last name. One of them even has the same date of birth but she spells her first name with an I instead of an E. And she's got warrants, which I thought was a hoot. :D

Heard it a couple of times in my life but the most profound was a security guard friend of mine a Caesars Palace when I worked there in my 20's. Seems she carried on a conversation with "me" while I was playing the $5 slot machines on my weekends off. She said started the conversation off with the real me by saying" I didn't want to say anything to you Saturday with everyone around but how in the world can you afford to be playing $5 slots" even with the complete dumbfounded look on my face it took a lot to convince her one it wasn't me and two I could never ever have afford to be playing $5 slots. she said she had talked to me for nearly 10 minuets and we laughed and joked so she was positive it was me. I think most of you have seen what I looked like back in the 80's (long hair spandex pants picture) so it might have just been the long hair rocker look that through her off.

I have had people swear they knew me at different times in my life but not lately as I have gotten older and fatter and losing my hair :)

Around here you're not allowed to gamble at the places where you're employed. Even some key positions aren't permitted to gamble at all.

Ah well...

Years ago, my son and I finished playing a video game at a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party. He went to play a different game. I turned to see my (then) wife talking to another woman while watching our daughter and other children play skeeball. I siddled up to my wife from behind, caressed her ass, and began nuzzling her ear. She turned to look at me. I froze. I stood there an uncomfortable amount of time holding this woman's ass while my brain refused to register what was wrong.

I apologized and explained profusely while waiting for the slap that never came. She laughed. I immediately went and told my wife. She immediately went to see if the woman was attractive enough that I had not committed an insult.
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I wasn't an employee of Caesars I was a contractor :) I wasn't even 21 at the time. It was the best job I ever had. I had more fun at that job then anywhere else. I had complete run of the place. I stayed in the Ann Margaret suite every year. The cocktail waitress would bring me mud slides in coffee cups and leave them on the slot machines down below our scissors lift. I watched players lose millions of dollars only to win it all back all during an 8 hours shift. Sam Kinnison became a friend that made sure to come find me every time he was in town to just say hi and see how life was. Got to play hide and seek with Diana Ross well she played hide and seek with her body guards and we helped her cheat LOL Got to sit and talk with Red Foxx many times while he played Keno (he would come in after midnight when no one else was in the keno area) Had Mohammed Ali tell me to keep it "looking good" when I was combing my hair as he was walking in. That was super cool actually. He was surrounded by 50 people and he stops to speak to the window washer. Made me smile. I had the power to shut down tables whenever I needed to clean the chandeliers and I had the backing of the casino manager Paul Vercheck and no one gave me any grief more then once. All of this at the age of 20...Man I could talk some good shit back in the day...sorry got reminiscing and couldn't stop typing LOL

No, that was cool!! I got to ride an elevator with Diana Ross at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City in the late 80s. My friend worked in PR and her Dad was a big time Casino Host at the time. I was supposed to see Sam Kinison at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City and getting to the arena on the night of the concert was greeted with a sign the concert was postponed. He died shortly thereafter. :-(

I Was talking to Sam and his wife the nigh they left Vegas headed for Reno. He was telling me how he had quit drinking and he had so many months without a drink (don't remember how many) I was really happy for him and he was happier then I can ever remember seeing him. I miss him
