I stayed at the Excellence Riviera Maya a few years ago and would walk/run the beach every day a couple of times and walk down to the little area in Puerto Morelos where the little lighthouse is located. Have fun!! BTW - When I was there medical waste was washing up on the beach all week. Keep an eye out for that stuff! It was from Long Island, New York!!Always be kinder than you feel.
