It's funny how they say they are playing like dolphins when they really are dolphins. They are just another reason I would love to move to the Pacific Northwest. The little Pacific White Sided Dolphin( they look a bit like little miniature Orcas) do it all the time... I have seen them do the same thing hundreds of times with them riding the bow waves in front of my boat as well as the stern like the orcas were doing in this video. I was completely surrounded off the North Jetty ( Peacock Spit) when heading out to fish to the north end of Long Beach a few years ago. It seemed like there were a couple hundred of them. The physics of what' does not work, as we currently understand it? Physics is a tool. Physics does not claim to explain the 'why' of things, so much as the how. For example, early in his career, in his twenties, Albert Einstein voiced the hope that physics would some day explain 'why' atoms exist. He hoped that a unified theory of the fundamental forces would in essence provide insight into 'why' atoms exist as a fundamental archetype in nature.
