They said only fresh water use like lakes. I know some cars around here started fires after their wiring was exposed to salt water from Superstorm Sandy.

Also sounds like the weight of marble tiles inside the vehicle make up some of the ballast.

Not really. The motor, transaxle, wheels, axles and suspension are all under the waterline. That's a large percentage of the weight.

It's got a huge "sail area" on the sides, and I wouldn't want to see what happens if the wind decides to blow (or gust) though.
