RIP: Bret Maverick & Jim Rockford

Recommended Posts

Hated to hear this one. My tradition is to watch a classic example of their work when an actor I like passes. Time to look at many offerings.

It's getting harder and harder to explain to someone what a Rockford Slide is and why it is called that.
I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Have you thought about watching [url "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057115/"]The Great Escape?
Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

JohnMitchell

He was one of the great ones, from the Old School of Leading Men. Gonna miss him.

I remember one episode. He used a pair of channel locks backwards trying to take off a shower head.I laughed my ass off. Mechanic he wasn't.
I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.

Thanks for the recommendation. Garner said his role in this movie was based on his actual job in Korea.

One of his best...Grand Prix

If you fast forward through some of the love scenes with Jean-Pierre and what's her name, Grand Prix is a great movie. One of the best motorsports movies ever made even even though it's an oldie.

Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
