ryoder 1,526 #32 September 19, 2014 Another really interesting car, sort of similar to the Caterham 7, (in that it is available with many different engines), is the Ariel Atom: http://www.arielatom.com/ I never heard of it before I encountered one on a twisty mountain road. Top Gear reviewed it and they absolutely loved it. And the Stig turned one of the fastest laps ever, besting cars that cost an order of magnitude more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaWoo82zNUA"There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. yoink 321 #35 September 19, 2014 A couple spring to mind. The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale http://www.alfabb.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/alfa-romeo-33-stradale.jpg A 1968 Chevvy Corvette Coupe http://static.cargurus.com/images/site/2007/10/06/10/59/1968_chevrolet_corvette_coupe-pic-31876.jpeg I've never been a fan of the super modern hyper cars. They're brilliant pieces of engineering and technically amazing, but don't look beautiful to me. They lack soul because they're designed just for performance. CanuckInUSA 0 #37 September 19, 2014 I can't afford my dream car a Porsche 991 GT3 RS. I simply do not and likely will not ever have the $$$ unless I was to sell my house and live in the car to afford such a fine example of street legal race engineering. However I still have a lot of fun with the two vehicles I own. 1) My 1997 Porsche 993 C2 is only a medium speed Porsche. But I have tracked it, it is a great car on a race track (as seen here) and my 993 is the last year of the Porsche 911 air cooled engines. So this car maintains it's value, and in the not too distant future it should begin to rise in value. 2) My 2013 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon serves as a great tool for not only functioning as my daily winter driver, but it is also an incredible offroad machine. Three foot boulders in the middle of the trail? No problem-o. Just crawl over them with the Jeep. I never knew going 2 mph could be so much fun until I began to offroad my JK. PS: My two vehicles are iconic designs (the 911 and the Jeep) which at least on the surface have not gone through massive changes over the decades. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

wolfriverjoe 1,451 #40 September 19, 2014 I actually have THIS one. (mine is Left hand drive, the one in the pic is RHD). But same car, same year, same color. The Cobra roadster (427 SC Cobra) is on my wish list too. A good replica can be had for $50k or so. A Pantera would be cool too.
