I got too close to the centerline, the front tire slipped on the yellow traffic paint, and went into a lateral drift. The grunting was about getting my left ankle out from under the bike. Thank goodness for armor! The River Road jacket & pants are trashed, but X-rays found nothing broken. Left ankle and knee swelled to twice their size, and left half of ribcage hurts like hell. Seriously, I ordered a Novus plastic polishing kit for the windscreen and the faceshield. Fortunately, the scratches on the latter are off to the side out of my field of vision.
