How YOU doin'?

Recommended Posts

and how are things with you?

for me I go into the VA tomorrow for the primary exam and then Tuesday with the specialist to determine if its time to uninstall the original equipment (knee) and upgrade to more high tech joint - I want the 007 model with the hidden 40megawatt pulse laser

no complaints so far - dealing with the VA is usually painful and frustrating but with all the negative press they seem to be more user friendly atm.

They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.

I'm starting a new retail branch of my business and have already dropped a shit ton of money on this and it probably won't be open to til June and I wake up every morning freaking out.

But it's already bringing in some cash too, without the showroom being open so that's a little bit comforting.

I've been dreaming about this for years so now it's "get it done" time and I'm excited and scared shitless at the same time.

I really wish I could jump more during the winter and I'm fucking ripping it in the tunnel so there's that.

Can't complain too much. Made a couple of jumps at Eloy the other day. Been getting rained out too much at home this winter. Gonna spend some time jumping on the North Shore this March, so that's gonna be nice. Looking forward to a nice long summer of jumping.

Been doing some more remodeling around the new house and keeping the old one on the market. When that one sells I'll really have some free time and a few extra $$. B|

Awesome! My wingsuit jumps are getting smoother! I'd like to work closer to the dropzone, but I'm trying to weasel my way into a place that would be within walking distance of there. Then I just need to get to work on whoring myself out to every woman in Longmont to pay for jump tickets and wind tunnel time!
I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

After 11 Harleys, I finally bought a brand new outta the box 2015 Road Glide. It's my first bike with a faring which was appreciated during yesterday's 15 degree morning. C'MON Springtime!!! Planning some very long road trips.

A very sweet ride!

Thank you. It is by far, the smoothest ride I've ever owned.

Just bought a 6800 square foot commercial building in our village. No idea what to do with it but couldn't pass up the opportunity. Originally built in 1837 and changed over the years to accommodate all kinds of businesses. Have started to demo for remodeling and uncovering some cool old construction as well as challenges.

Headed out to my airstrip to clear some tall pines for a better approach. It was -9 here this morning.

Need to finish building my KitFox by the end of mud season.

And the list goes on...

Life is good. Busy but good!

B| I've done remodels on a 1920's Craftsman house. I can't imagine a 180 y.o. warehouse. Do you intend to resell it when it's complete or start your own business in that location? My first thought is that your town needs a great microbrewery and pub right there. B|

We've asked the townspeople to suggest what they might like to see. Overwhelming majority want a "general store". Second is a gym and third is what I call a "barcade"... Pool table, jukebox, pinball, darts, beer, coffee, sofas and pub grub. Local hangout. Easy to get going and just as easily shut down when better idea arises. Hope to start with 2400 sq ft at street level. Handicapped access and bathrooms are the biggest anticipated hurdles when we want to move up to using the next floor. Attached photo taken in 1952. Another building is attached to the rear. Started as grain storage in 1856 then built up as a house with 20 rooms around 1900.

You could call it "The Stratford Inn", and hire a handyman named "George".B|

Bought an airport in October, to move my auto and aircraft painting and restorations businesses onto one property. Completely renovated the hangar into a paint shop, new spray booth, new mixing room, Heat, lights, air compressors, etc...
We have been up and running for a couple of weeks. I painted a 55 chevy yesterday.
No time to play, my Cessna 180 is sitting in the snow, waiting for spring and for me to have time to use it.
Nose to the grind stone now, plenty of fun ahead, lunch time skydives, and sun rise flights in my brothers and my Avid Flyer.

I am too computer challenged. PM me and I can text you the pictures. I need to learn how to do more on this thing, just can't find the time and brain cells to learn.

Hey dzswoop717.......not necessary. I totally understand because I am computer challenged also. Besides, when you are the business owner there are always 10 other more important things that needed to be done......yesterday.

Thanks for the thought.

Happy to be back in the US for good! Hate my current job, but that won't last long. I've decided to pass the time here by entering a lot of competitions -- running, cycling, skydiving. Of course, the majority of skydiving competitions I'll be attending, I'll be the judge and not the competitor. It does generate a bit of interest at work. Just got back from a 196-mile Ragnar relay in the FL Keys (weather was excellent, BTW!), and all the guys at work are asking me "what's next?" They're a little taken aback when I tell them I'm competing in skydiving this weekend. :P
