I climbed into bed, got all nice and cozy, then the banging started. It was so loud and persistent. The lightning was like a strobe light going off. I knew I had forgotten something, though, and my mind was distracted by all the banging. I forgot to cover the veggies in my backyard. They're several feet away from my house so I'd have to do a little more work to protect them... Then again, I rarely ever get hail here at my house in central Alabama.
