Coreeece 2 #2 April 6, 2016 muff528RIP Keith Emerson. He is in a better place - a place where this part of the song actually makes sense: https://youtu.be/u25b-Tsbi-4?t=238Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
DiverMike 5 #3 April 6, 2016 He wrote that song when he was 12 years old. Amazing. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.
GD64 1 #4 April 6, 2016 muff528RIP Keith Emerson. "No money could save him So he laid down and he died" Hey muff528, thanks for bringing him up. When I first saw ELP, the visual that blew me away, were the "walls" of equipment surrounding Emerson in addition to the three keyboards. I had never seen this before or since. A very talented musician. Unfortunately, I have been around others that have chosen the same path. I was caught by the surprise a few times, and other times not. If someone chooses "lights out", I think everything before is simply a delaying process. "Lucky Man" is a hauntingly beautiful song. RIP Keith.
muff528 3 #5 April 6, 2016 DiverMikeHe wrote that song when he was 12 years old. Amazing. Actually written by Greg Lake at 12 yo! Didn't know that. Emerson added the Moog at the end (in Coreece's link). I always thought it seemed out of place in that song.
muff528 3 #6 April 6, 2016 Never got to see these guys live. Must've been a great show. Yeah, I guess it's just a hard thing to understand.

akarunway 1 #8 April 6, 2016 muff528 Never got to see these guys live. Must've been a great show. Yeah, I guess it's just a hard thing to understand. I saw them w/ Black Sabbath at Ca. Jam One. One helluva a party. The 10K person food fight at the end was crazy.I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
