hillson 0 #376 August 23, 2012 Quote I'm no expert at this, but I'm guessing my weight counteracts some of the forward speed when the canopy is "planing out" after half brakes. The smaller canopy can't fly me forward as fast. That being said, it won't surprise me if more experienced people have other opinions... Nah...you're just getting better at converting speed into lift (having a but more energy in the system due to higher suspended weight helps too). :) Is this still on a Pulse? beth0b 0 #377 August 24, 2012 Quote Quote I also don't know why, but my landings also improved greatly when I went down to a 190 from a 210. Now I'm under a 170 that I just LOVE!! Interesting. I wonder if there's other people out there with similar experiences? I was flying a 200 through AFF, then through renting went from a 200 to 170, and now I fly a 150. I'm still only loaded at 0.8, but have found that the response is much better as I have gone down. I have been told that when the wing is loaded too LIGHTLY, you don't have as much power to fly it and land it properly. I'm still learning though

Her phone has limited internet connection right now so she can't read them or reply. Hopefully it will be better when they move her to the rehab. She is doing well and her spirits are high.
