Just finished this. Can't claim much credit since it was highly prefabricated.

Just need some nice weather to fly it.

Is the 5 blade prop accurate?
I'm curious.

Oh yes.

I don't remeber a 5 bladed prop in that era

Didn't realize you were so old.

Spitfires were tested with Griffon engines and 5 bladed props as early as 1943.

I'm in India now, working on a Habitat for Humanity trip. Yesterday was the introduction day, with roughly a bazzilion children wanting pictures taken. Way cool. I get to help tear down a house, so that we (and the next crew) can then build a new one, with a toilet and septic system, roof, and structural strength to add stories in the future.

Anyone is free to donate to Habitat, and it goes to a good cause.

Kudos to you. Helped build Habitat homes here in NC on many occasions, but never internationally.

And . . . I'm Working.

Apparently, it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawker_Sea_Fury

My first thought was Tempest. I see it's a derivative. B|

Yep, it's a Sea Fury, in the markings of the plane that Lt. Carmichael flew when he shot down a Mig15 in Korea.

The model has retractable gear, working flaps, and long range tanks that can be air-dropped. The rockets, however are dummies:(.

Hope you had your shots, Wendy. A former colleague of mine went to India on a volunteer mission, caught hepaptitis, came home and died.

Puerto Rico and Grand Turk.

Really enjoyed San Juan. Looking forward to going back this summer.

yeah I only had 1/2 a day and 1 night in San Juan I would love to spend more time there

edited to add: that's not counting the 2 weeks in Rosy Roads fueling war birds in 1981 that trip: not so much fun

I've been unsuccessfully trying to upload a pic of the ocean view I have when I open my eyes and wake up at my guy's house. Cruise ships, shrimp boats, fishing charters and the like. Life is so fucking good it's like a dream. Thank God for second chances and reconnecting with someone who is amazing in so many important ways. :$

Always be kinder than you feel.
