Put up a damn picture of something fun you've been doing

I'm no longer a motor, but here is the last competition I attended (one of my practice runs):

Damn! Talk about not having much, if any, margin for error in that run. Looks as tight as it can get making those turns without knocking anything over! B|

Turn stop to turn stop on nearly every maneuver. So it takes controlling the throttle and clutch just right while using ever part of your tire to the sidewall. No "chicken strip" on those tires!;)

And yes, years of training and riding to build that skill set, but like skydiving it is years of FUN training and riding.

So what do they have you doing now?
Was it your choice to change?

Regular cop stuff now (I wanted a change but some office politics helped that change along for me), well, sort of, ruptured a bicep at work back in May so I'm still recovering and only have partial use of my left arm as of yet (had to have surgery to reattach my bicep to my elbow). Quite frankly I started poking around for a civilian job in the collision reconstruction world since that is my expertise. If fact I'm sitting in a classroom near Austin right now waiting for my class to finish their final exam in the advanced collision investigations course I taught this week.

Life's winding path is odd at times but an adventure none the less!

Here are some links to the "fun" offroad stuff I have been doing lately:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/bigmoe/P1012971_zpsd185a90c.jpg

and some more links of the others peeps I have been offroading with:

and sometimes people get into trouble. But it's all part of the fun and that's why you don't wheel alone. You wheel with others so that if you get into trouble, there is someone out there who can help you. You're really not trying if you never get stuck. There is no perfect Jeep:

http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad200/993C2/IMG_0351.jpg
http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad200/993C2/IMG_0350.jpg

http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t317/Boltobye/Aug%2010th%20Jeep%20Offroad%20fun/IMG_0742.jpg

and sometimes you need more than one hand to help you. Sometimes you need to act as an anchor to help the person who is helping the original guy who got stuck.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt2DegbOrvM

PS: the pickup truck in this last video was abandoned when we came across it. It does not show it in this video, but that truck was good and stuck. The front tow hook was completely bent when the owners of the vehicle tried to dislodge their truck from the mud. Now who knows if they were using the proper winching techniques. We weren't there. We thought about trying to recover the pickup truck when we first encountered it. But the whole area was extremely slick, and we were challenged enough recovering our own guy's Jeep and we figured a really big unit would be required to recover that truck.

I think we might go back down there next Spring. Maybe stay with Mark and Skymama.

Ha...just saw this! B| We're a bit of a drive from the parks (about 45 minutes), but we'd love to have you. April is a great month to hit the parks, it is in between Spring Break and before schools get out in May, so it's not as crowded and the weather is pleasant that time of year.

Good Lord,,how did you rupture your bicep ? Hell of a big gun,,,i'll bet ;)B|

Ruptured my bicep tackling a burglar. His shoulder hit the tendon that attaches my left bicep to the elbow just at the right spot at the right time. Felt a hard pop and my left arm went limp to my side. I knew the pain wouldn't hit for a little bit so after my partner ran up to help we got the turd in custody. Twelve days later I had surgery that gave me my first metal in a bone repair and here I am now 8weeks after the surgery still working to curl 2 pounds with out exceptional pain.

The bike is a Honda ST1300 and the sound you hear are the two chain driven overhead cams. It's a wicked fast bike that is obviously highly maneuverable. B|

Whoa. Look who grew up! Where's she headed to school?

She was accepted to RIT (Rochester Inst. of Tech) in NY. We are so proud!! That school is doing absolutely amazing things with science, and so will she. B|

She is majoring in Criminal Justice, & is out to better the way evidence is processed, in some way -she has so many different routes available at this college; it will take a year or two to find where she feels best suited.

Yay, Sprouty-girl! :)

Raising my wild children. :P. I haven't been around just because I'm not physically able to jump or fly any more. -I'm not angry about that, just thankful for the time I had. I still have the odd flying or jumping dream, but it never leaves me sad, so I'm in a good place. :)
I still use my DZ email for discount offers & stuff...heehee. -Actually, that's what I was doing when I thought, "What the hell. Over 115,000 unread threads, let's see what's up in the Bonfire nowadays."

Nice to see you're still making people laugh, & vomit in their mouths a little, (a la 'sick & twisted' -how old is that thread?!:D) which is totally admirable. B|

Here's a motor rodeo version of 4-way FS:

Inside: http://youtu.be/n8EtaBYEBZY

I'm not going to lie, I could do these competitions all the time and just have a blast doing them. Too bad there isn't anything like it in the civilian world. I really don't miss working in over 100F heat on the back of the bike every day!

I've spent some time watching PD training on the courses, but the onboard video puts it into perspective even more. I wouldn't have the guts to try the vast majority of the stuff the motors guys do on my bike, you guys are nuts! :P

If you can't convince them, keep them confused.
