New to forum not quite to skydiving

New guy here looking to restart my AFF after a year lapse.

Background: three years ago I did a tandem from 17,500'agl (aviation oxygen was not enjoyable) I figured if I was going to give it a try, may as well go higher. 1.5 years after that jump I convinced a friend of mine to try it on his birthday only from 10k that time and later in the day 13.5 after it warmed up. (Winter jump) later on that year around August, I started AFF and pass a level. B on the other hand I fail twice, once due to a misread hand signal(though I saw pull followed by the other instructor showing COA and a long ride down) and the other i was too stiff, unstable, and couldn't relax.

I stopped because I had too many other hobbies I wasn't ready to stop yet and I had a few personal issues that needed to be handled so I would be able to keep my attention on training. I have it all straighten out now, although some things I'm not happy about that can't be changed. In any case I can give my training the attention it deserves.

Finally got a jump scheduled for this Saturday. I decided to just start from the beginning to refresh so to speak. The past year though any spare time I had I've been reading the forums, articles, watching cutaway videos on YouTube and studying the malfunction and if possible the events leading up to it.

This time it should go much better since I chosen a drop zone much closer with a two hour drive instead of five and I have much less money tied up in other projects.
