Hello everyone.

Just new to Dropzone and to Skydiving. Did my first Tandem last week from 10,000ft. Was absolutely amazing. Have my AFF booked for next year. Can't wait. Looking forward to listening to what everyone has to say.

Thanks for the welcome Skymama. I don't think there are any near me anyway. Would love to learn a few things in advance of the AFF however. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

read the Skydivers Information Manual (the skydivers bible)

and a very good book to read is "A Canopy and Its Pilot" by Brian Germain

As someone who isn't very experience and shouldn't give a whole lot of advise yet about all I want you to take away from this post is ARCH!!

Thanks for that 'bluetwo'. Arch... yeah I'm hearing that alot. Seems like the most precedence of information when Skydiving. Can't wait to get into this. I've only had one Tandem but it feels like I belong up there. Thanks for the post.
