Hayfield 0 #7 February 15, 2007 Hi Jen, You should check out Skydive Long Island, that's probably close to you. While I haven't been yet, I hear good things about it. For other DZs the nearest you'll find are Skydive Sussex and The Ranch. My girlfriend and I started at Sussex but moved to the ranch because it has more capacity and doesn't close for the season. The Ranch is a great place to jump and hang out on weekends. Free camping on the DZ, which is a private airport (jumping only), beers around the firepit, and a guitar-armed long island boy named Rob make the Ranch feel like a bohemian jumpers' village. Hope to see you there. Any yeah, it is butt cold here now, but it's payback for the good jumping weather that lasted through December."Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
