venturead 0 #1 October 17, 2006 Two weeks ago, on vacation, I went from 0 dives to 9 at Skydive Zion in SW Utah. What an adventure! I am on solo now and back in Minnesota in the soup and cold Jonesin' about getting back in the air here before winter sets in. I am trying to clear my calendar to get out around here but last week was gale force winds and 40 degree highs and this week it is raining. Help me I'm hooked! Looks like I won't be able to get enough jumps in for my A license before winter. Any MN divers have suggestions? I am STOKED!!!"You can't skydive if you are sitting on the couch at home." Eule 0 #3 October 18, 2006 QuoteAny MN divers have suggestions? Pack up some clothes and stuff; put the bags in your car. Strap a snow shovel on the roof of your car. Start driving south; fill up every time you get down to half a tank. As soon as somebody at a gas station asks you what that thing is on top of your car, OR you come to the ocean, start looking for a dropzone. :) Welcome!
