kerouhak 0 #1 December 25, 2003 My name's Rob. I'm based in Glasgow. I did a couple of jumps 4 years ago on a round canopy (heck) then got into innerspace(Scuba diving) around the world. Just got back in to jumping since returning to Scotland (lovely weather, great jumping) I've since jumped twice with square canopy and I'm now hooked! I've been jumping at St. andrewes DZ but couple of niggles with the place so will be moving to Strathallan in new year. I'm doing my dummy pulls as soon as the weather clears If there's anyone out there in my area, I'd like to hook up with fellow jumpers for fun and games. glad to be part of the community. Cheers /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\\/\/\/\/\ Do I see you laughin? juanesky 0 #2 December 25, 2003 Hello Rob, Welcome to the forums. I think that you should have no problem in finding people from your area, but also no problems making friends also in this site. So enjoy, and blue skies."According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon

msmithd8769 0 #6 December 28, 2003 Hey Rob, welcome. Yeah, great picture but I was wondering - does that hair cause you any stability problems in freefall.....?_____________________________ "And when the prophet shall arise who appeareth as a bird then the time of the Lord draweth nigh and the flock shall rule the earth." Raefordite 0 #7 December 28, 2003 Welcome back to the sport! You have already done something that many DZ.com posters have not done.....jump a round canopy.
DanglesOZQld 0 #8 December 29, 2003 Have done two on an old Paracommander. Note to self.....If jumping a roundie again do it with a little bit of wind next time you idiot!!! (First jump was a stand up in about 8-10 knots and the second a cruncher in virtual nil wind.) Good fun though but REALLY weird once open as there was almost absolute silence, even more than what you get under a conventional canopy. BSBD -Mark. "A Scar is just a Tattoo with a story!!!"
